My name is Carolyn Mitchell and I am the IRT (Instructional Resource Teacher) for Green Leadership and World Languages Elementary School. I am originally from Mystic, Connecticut where I lived for 27 years. I attended college at the University of Connecticut and received a BS in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I worked in various preschool settings before making the decision to return to school to obtain my Masters degree in Elementary Education. In 2006, I graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a MAT in Elementary and Special Education. Shortly after graduating I moved to beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina. After moving to Raleigh, I quickly obtained a job at Dillard Drive Elementary School where I taught Kindergarten and then 2nd grade. I transferred to Green and taught 3rd grade for 2 years before leaving education for 2 years. I decided to return to education after the birth of my daughter Parker Joyce in 2015. I love being a part of the Green Family!
